Wednesday’s meeting at Gowran Park has been abandoned because of waterlogging.
Gowran has been hit by more than 50mm of rain in the past few days, and the decision to call off this evening’s scheduled meeting was taken just after 8am.
“Following an inspection at Gowran Park this morning, parts of the track remained unfit for racing after 52mm of rain since entries stage and therefore the fixture scheduled for today has been cancelled,” the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board confirmed.
The eight-race card had been due to get underway at 4.30pm with the Gowran Park Golf Club Claiming Race.
